External assurance of sustainability performance indicators is important to us. Unilever’s environmental reporting has been independently assured since 1996.
Our approach
For the past five years Deloitte LLP have provided limited assurance on ten key performance indicators (KPIs) and are repeating this work for 2011. Data marked † throughout this website is preliminary and is part of this work. Deloitte’s report and their conclusion will be published on our website in mid-2012.
We have appointed Pricewaterhouse-Coopers LLP (PwC) to provide assurance of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan. They have started to assure a number of KPIs, selected on the basis of their materiality. We will report the findings of their work in mid-2012.
