Management change Bestfoods Benelux B.V.

Growth, innovation and profit – based on the Knorr, Conimex, Dextro, Maizena and Caterplan brand portfolio – were characteristic of the development of Bestfoods in the Benelux under Mr Masselink’s leadership over a period of many years. Prior to his post with CPC/Bestfoods Mr Masselink worked for The Coca-Cola Company, H.J. Heinz b.v. and Ralston Purina.

After the recent merger with Unilever the organisation of Bestfoods in the Benelux was split with effect from 1 January 2001 so that it can be separately integrated with Van den Bergh Nederland to form Unilever Bestfoods Nederland and with Hartog-Union to form Unilever Bestfoods Belgium.

Until June 2001 Mr Masselink will continue to support the integration process as adviser to the new management team of Unilever Bestfoods Nederland. The chairman of Unilever Bestfoods Nederland is Anthonie L. Stal, former chairman of Van den Bergh Nederland.
